Car Pooling from Newton MA:
We will meet Dec 23 at 12:30 pm. (at the Riverside MBTA station (Exit 22 - Grove St. - off Rte. 128 in Newton) to carpool up to Sunday River.

To sign up for the trip click here.
When you get to the Train Station drive up to the Train area. We will all be waiting in this area to arrange who rides with whom.

If you are signed up for the trip please confirm if you will or will not be meeting us at the Riverside MBTA (Newton MA) parking lot on Saturday in order to car pool to Sunday River. Also be prompt, we will not delay departure for late arrivals. 

Directions to Newton Car Pool
From Points South: From West and Central Connecticut, New York and other southerly areas drive north on Rte 91N to Rte 15N to Rte 84E to I-90W to Rte 128S/I-95S (note that Route 128 and I-95 overlap at this point) to Exit 22 as indicated above.
From Rhode Island and Eastern Connecticut: Take route Rte 128N/I-95N directly to exit 22 on Rte 128 as indicated above.
From Points West: Take route I-90E to Rte 128S/I-95S to exit 22 as indicated above.

I-95 Maine Turnpike Update
The Maine Turnpike recently completed its Maine Interstate Redesignation. As a result, the Turnpike is now designated as I-95 for its entire length. The I-495 designation north of South Portland is now longer used, but will be found on outdated maps. The numbering system for exits has also changed to label exits by mileage rather than in numerical order. The exit for Sunday River / Route 26 in Gray, Maine has changed from Exit 11 to Exit 63.

Directions to Sunday River
from the Newton Car Pool

Take I-95 North into Maine. Follow I-95 / Maine Turnpike to Exit 63 / Gray for Route 26. Take Route 26 North to Bethel. Refer to Bethel directions above.

In Bethel, take Rte 2 east for 2.6 miles and look for the Sunday River signs. Take a left onto Sunday River Road, marked by the large Sunday River Brewery (big building with red roof). Follow signs within Sunday River to the Snow Cap Inn. It is about 175 miles from Boston. Driving time to Sunday River from the Newton Car Pool is a approximately 3 hours.

from New York City

Take I-84 East to the Mass Pike / I-90. Take Mass Pike / I-90 East to Exit 10 / Auburn. Take Route 290 North to Route 495 North, then follow Route 495 to I-95. Take I-95 North into Maine. Follow I-95 / Maine Turnpike to Exit 63 / Gray for Route 26. Take Route 26 North to Bethel. Refer to Bethel directions above.

Arrival and Check in at the Snow Cap Inn: 
We should arrive at the Snow Cap Inn around 5:00pm.

You may check-in after 3:00 PM. All roommates have been pre-assigned and the room packages will include specific rental and lesson tickets for those who have paid in advance. So please do not try and change your room upon arrival at the resort. No changes are allowed.

The Snow Cap Inn has a good outdoor Jaccuzzi so bring a bathing suit along with your skiing gear.
